Local Grants & Support

Access-Pupil Development Grant 

Get £125 to buy school uniform, equipment, sports kit and kit for activities outside of school for your child. 

Community Foundation Wales 

Working with our generous supporters and partners, we invest in strengthening communities.  Our grants recognise the inspirational role of community groups and charities in identifying and meeting the needs of local communities. All Community Foundations (UK)

County Voluntary Council (CVC): Powys Association of Voluntary Organisations (PAVO)

Helping Organisations. Improving peoples lives. All voluntary organisations and community groups in Powys are invited to become members of PAVO. Membership is free.

Forest School Association - find your local group For the advancement of education for public benefit through promotion and support of quality Forest School in the United Kingdom using any means to enable all children, young people and adults to benefit from increased opportunities for high quality and varied educational experiences in the natural world. Search for FSA affiliated groups.

Funding Wales/Cyllido Cymru 

A free online funding search platform, enabling you to find funding for your charity, community group or social enterprise, easily. 

Ogi Community Fund

The community fund offers micro-grants of up to £250, and/or volunteering opportunities, to a range of local groups and community organisations in their current and future full fibre towns and villages. Applications for the ‘Cefnogi Fund’ are open up to four times a year. The next round opens in 2024.

Play Wales/Chwarae Cymru 

Play Wales is an independent charity funded by the Welsh Government that promotes children’s play.

Our grants team can support you with information and advice, while there are also representatives in each of the local authorities who can provide advice on grant applications.
