Welcome to your regional PTA page. Bedfordshire is the home of the chocolate toothpaste tart and the Bedfordshire Clanger, but did you know the concept of afternoon tea is also attributed to this county? It was invented in the 1840s by the Duchess of Bedford, of Woburn Abbey.

The Foundation makes grants to local community groups and charities. All Community Foundations (UK)

Bedfordshire Gardens Trust

Bedfordshire Gardens Trust has been promoting gardens and gardening in primary schools in the county. They can occasionally offer small grants and perhaps help with a specific project. They may also be able to advise about other organisations who can be approached.

Bedfordshire Schools Library Service

The Schools Library Service is a valuable resource for all schools.

Community Trust Fund

Funding available to community groups/charities working in the specific areas identified and meeting all the criteria.

Central Bedfordshire, North Herts District, Stevenage, Dacorum, St. Albans District and Eastern parts of Aylesbury District.

Council for Voluntary Service (CVS): CVS Bedfordshire

Forest School Association - find your local group For the advancement of education for public benefit through promotion and support of quality Forest School in the United Kingdom using any means to enable all children, young people and adults to benefit from increased opportunities for high quality and varied educational experiences in the natural world. Search for FSA affiliated groups.
The Harpur Trust Supporting the local community through a grants programme, exclusive to the Borough of Bedford.
Inspiring music in Central Bedfordshire Supporting music in schools.
Small Grants Fund Recognising the potential impact that London Luton airport has in the area funds are available to community groups/charities meeting the criteria.
Whitbread PLC. Chairman's Fund Grants available to small local charities and community groups based in the South Bedfordshire area.
